Cleaning & Protection
A ceramic coating is only as good as the surface it’s bonded to and the expectations it’s sold with. We offer boat ceramic coating in Fort Myers and across Southwest Florida, ranging from complete vessel protection to targeted coating of painted or gelcoat surfaces only, and we’re straightforward about how long it will realistically last on your boat.
Correction Comes First
Coating locks in whatever is underneath it, including swirls, oxidation and dull spots. Before any coating goes on, we clean the surfaces properly and correct them as needed, so the coating is applied over the best finish possible. On a boat with heavy oxidation, that correction is a full boat detailing job. On a boat that’s been well kept, it may only take a light polish.
Coating Options
- Complete vessel protection. Hull, topsides, deck surfaces and other coated areas treated as one package.
- Painted or gelcoat surfaces only. A targeted option when you want the main finish protected without coating everything.
We’ll recommend a package based on how the boat is used and what you want to protect.

Realistic Protection Intervals
We’d rather set honest expectations than advertise multi-year performance that doesn’t match Southwest Florida conditions.
- Lift-kept boats. These sit in full sun, heat, rain and salt air. Our recommended protection cycle is an annual coating refresh.
- Marina-kept boats. Our coating system can provide up to approximately two years of protection, depending on exposure, use, washing practices and maintenance.
How you wash the boat between visits matters. A regular boat washing program with coating-safe products helps the coating last toward the longer end of its range.
What You Get
A properly applied coating adds enhanced gloss, makes the boat noticeably easier to clean and puts a sacrificial layer between the environment and the boat’s finish. Salt, grime and bird droppings have a harder time bonding, so routine washes take less effort.

Is ceramic coating worth it on a boat?
For most owners who want an easier-to-clean, glossier boat with less frequent reapplication than wax, yes. If the boat is rarely used and kept under cover, a good wax schedule may be enough. We’ll help you weigh it.
What’s the downside to ceramic coating?
It costs more up front than wax, it needs proper surface correction first, and it isn’t scratch-proof. For areas that take physical abuse, such as hullsides at the dock, Yacht Armor protection film is the better tool.
How much does it cost to ceramic coat a boat?
Price depends mainly on the boat’s size, how much correction the finish needs before coating, and whether you choose complete protection or painted and gelcoat surfaces only. We’ll quote it after seeing the boat.
